Are the PowerPoints or PDF files stored on Dimdim's servers?
Solution The uploaded file (pdf or ppt) is converted into Flash (swf) files. These are retained only during the duration of the meeting. All the files (original PPTs, PDFs, intermediate files and the final Flash files) are deleted at the close of the meeting.
Can I skip slides - say go directly from slide 2 to slide 8
This is not possible currently with the Powepoint Sharing available in Dimdim. It is possible to move directly to another slide by clicking on the thumbnail, however if the second slide is not on the same page, you would need to click through the slides.
Can I upload a PowerPoint file with animation?
The PPT can be uploaded, but the animation will not be converted. Only the last state of the animation will be seen.

Can uploaded PowerPoint documents be edited or saved by attendees?
Currently it is not possible for attendees to edit or save a copy of the shared documents.
Clicking on Manage for the Show Items pane did not allow me to use the check boxes to delete a presentation.
Desktop and whiteboard can not be deleted from manage show item. For PPT and PDF you can not delete it while sharing. To delete a item you have to stop sharing
Do I need any office software to be installed?
It is not necessary to have any Office Software installed on a machine to start or join a Dimdim Meeting.

Uploading of an image is in our roadmap. Currently it is possible to create a ppt, add the respective image(s) in it and then upload it in the meeting. You will be able to make annotations on it, put a comment or markup.

I have animations and embedded audio/video objects in my PPT. Will they show up in the meeting?
No, animations are not seen in the meeting. The PPT is converted to a PDF which does not support animations & AV, therefore, these features cannot be seen after upload.
I would like to save the Powerpoint file (or the PDF file) with the annotations marked on it.
