What is recorded when I click the Record button?

It depends on the meeting type:

When the meeting host is the presenter : -

Activity in the meeting	What will be recorded
A/V is enabled and host is not sharing a PPT/PDF	Video of the host's web cam and/or microphone audio will be recorded
A/V is enabled and host is sharing a PPT, PDF, or Desktop.	PPT, PDF or Desktop will be recorded along with the host's microphone audio
Video chat is enabled and presenter is not sharing a PPT/PDF	Video of the host's web cam and/or microphone audio will be recorded.
Public chat messages	All Public chat messages will be archived separately when recording.

When attendee is made presenter : -

Activity in the meeting	What will be recorded
A/V is enabled and the presenter is not sharing a PPT/PDF	Video of the host's webcam and/or microphone audio will be recorded
A/V is enabled and presenter is sharing a PPT, PDF, or Desktop.	PPT, PDF or Desktop will be recorded along with the presenter's microphone audio
