Can I upload a PowerPoint or PDF file before the meeting starts?

Not currently, but this feature is on our product roadmap.
An easy workaround is to start the meeting early and upload your files before the attendees join. That way it will be easy to switch between the shared documents with a single click and you won't have to wait for the upload and conversion to take place while the meeting is going on.
