I receive a lot of echo when I conduct a Dimdim meeting with attendees on speakers. I do not see this problem with other VOIP providers.

Dimdim streams the audio via a Flash movie in order to increase the accessibility of the product via any browser with flash support.
Flash supports the Sorenson Squeeze filter, other VOIP providers which install client software on the machine have access to better audio codecs which results in an improved echo cancellation.

With Dimdim it is recommended to use the "Push to talk" feature if the participant is on speaker and select the "Hands free" option only when they have a headset.
